The Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative released its latest research during an online community dialogue with parents, providers, and community stakeholders about parent experience as they enter the children’s mental health system in Hennepin County

The PCLG SUPPORT GROUP offers a safe place where you can connect with other parents & caregivers who are raising a child or youth with mental health challenges.  Learn about resources and advocating for your child as you navigate through the system. Join us on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm to share your challenges and celebrate successes.

As children and youth continue to face violence and ongoing trauma in Hennepin County, it is important to keep in mind the trauma impacts each of us differently. Children and youth may not have the words to tell you what they are thinking and feeling.

The Collaborative staff and leadership are grateful to you, our partners, for your commitment to ensuring a comprehensive, integrated, and equitable children’s mental health service system is functioning and meeting the mental health needs of children, youth and their families in Hennepin County.

The Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative Governance Committee will NOT meet on December 16, 2021, as previously scheduled. They will meet next on January 19, 2022.

The Collaborative is recruiting parents and providers to join its Governance Committee. The Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative provides a forum for a diverse group of stakeholders to influence the development and ongoing operation of an accessible and effective children’s mental health system within Hennepin County.

The Collaborative needs your help recruiting parents and caregivers who have children receiving mental health services, or seeking services, for children ages 0-21. We want to know what their child’s mental health experience has been like as part of the children’s mental health system.

The CMHC is recruiting parents and caregivers who have children receiving mental health services to participate in Parent Interviews. We are seeking feedback from families to help us improve the children’s mental health systems. The interviews will focus on the families experience as they sought children’s mental health services.

A summary of the recommended changes has been prepared to assist voting members as they prepare to vote next week. Attendance of voting members, or their alternates, is requested.
