Impact of COVID-19 Summary & Resources for CMH Providers

Thank you to all of you who participated in last month’s conversations on the impact of COVID-19 on families and provider practice! We have been working hard to summarize themes from those discussions and compile the resources mentioned & shared, and are very happy to be able to share this back with you all!

See the following attachments to this post:

> CMHC Impact of COVID-19 Summary: This is a summary of issues and questions related to the impact of COVID-19 developed via discussion and contribution of over 75 participants representing multiple children’s mental health programs and agencies across the county.

> Memo to DHS: Sent to DHS representatives along with the Impact of COVID-19 Summary on Friday, April 3rd. A similar memo was sent to Hennepin County representatives on Monday, April 6th.

> Tips, Resources and Referral Information for Providers: Compiled list of relevant resources. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this! Some are relevant for providers, other resources can be passed along to parents.

> Hennepin County’s Mobile Assessment Provider List

In terms of next steps, we plan to share any response we receive from DHS or Hennepin County with this community. We also aim to continue to serve as a communicator/connector between families, providers, school districts, state and county officials, and all others working to support children and families in Hennepin County during these challenging times. The more we can coordinate, collaborate, share best practices, and streamline communication, the better and more effectively we will serve our community.

Please continue to contact the CMHC Coordinators, Etonde and Laura, to talk about data/findings/trends you are observing in your communities, share resources with others, and join conversations on managing the impact of COVID-19.
