Please see below for information on federal funding available for healthcare providers to use to purchase the connectivity and devices needed to care for clients remotely. If your organization is planning to apply for this funding, please let us know so we can discuss how to partner to address the digital divide for children and families in Hennepin County. 

FCC Announces $200 Million for COVID-19 Telehealth Program

The Federal Communications Commission announced that its Wireline Competition Bureau will begin accepting applications for $200 million in funding through the COVID-19 Telehealth Program beginning on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM Central Time.

These funds, appropriated by the CARES Act (P.L. 116-136), will help healthcare providers purchase the connectivity and devices they need to care for patients remotely in response to COVID-19. Applications can be filed through a dedicated application portal, which went live on Monday: www.fcc.gov/covid19telehealth.
