CMHC Governance Committee Meeting Announcement and Parent Opportunities

The Governance Committee will review a number of amendments to the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative (HCCMHC) Bylaws during this meeting. A summary of the recommended changes has been prepared to assist voting members as they prepare to vote next week. Attendance of voting members, or their alternates, is requested.

Hennepin County is hosting a Youth Visioning Session on children’s mental health. We need your help recruiting youth for this important visioning session! All youth who participate will receive a $25 gift card for their feedback, which will help shape the future of children’s mental health.

To eliminate disparities in delivering services and to have improved outcomes in the BIPOC communities, it is imperative to examine the cultural context within which these services are provided, the culture of the people receiving services, and the level of cultural awareness of the professionals delivering services.
